Invirt Reality will be exhibiting at the Grads for Growth (G4G) Innovation Showcase event at the Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton on the 22nd May. G4G is a scheme funded by the ERDF to support graduate employment in the South West of England. Two of our recent graduates, Matt Smith and Selwyn Phillips are involved with the G4G scheme and will be demonstrating some of the technology they have developed over the past few months at the showcase.
Invirt Reality specialises in Virtual Reality (VR), visualisation and interactive content. The company was formed in 2008, primarily providing software engineering expertise for the aerospace industry. Twelve months ago we made a conscious business decision to focus our attention to becoming a market leader in VR, a technology which is still fairly embryonic but has the potential to grow rapidly as the technology advances. In order to enter the VR market, we needed to invest in new talent with knowledge of games technology, CGI and animation, which would complement our existing software engineering capability. Matt and Selwyn completed a successful 3 months internship after graduating from the University of the West of England, and are now an integral part of our expanding development team. Both graduates will be showcasing some of the work they have been involved with at the G4G event and we are also delighted to have been nominated for a G4G outstanding business award.
